Computer crashes when updating to sp2
A bad battery can do a wonder of things gone wrong!Update: I was contacted by Gabe Aul, our Ring Master, directly and he has informed me that a fix is in the works for this and will be pushed out soon.
This method has been tested extensively through out the last 9 months by Windows Insiders and works extremely well - when the updates do not cause any issues.is GSA-T20N (S05D) Windows Vista SP2 Now, out of...Comp Model = Dell Inspiron 1521 Comp OS = Windows Vista (no service packs) When I ran the install for Vista service pack 2, it gets stuck on "installing service pack stage 3 of 3".not to mention i believe somethings wrong with my motherboard too.i dont have any bad problems with the pc only when i update. At the moment there is not a work around for this issue as you can not uninstall the update because Explorer will crash as soon as you select it in Hopefully Microsoft will address this issue quickly as Windows 10 will be officially released on 29 July 2015 - just three days from now.
Have you had any crashes with this update performing these or other system tasks?
When I install windows it works fine, I can turn my computer off and on as many times as I want and it will be fine, but if I install any video card drivers or any of the updates that windows tells me to install, the next time it boots up I either get the windows splash screen or a black screen right after it says, "starting windows", and shows the 4 orb things that spin around and turn into the windows logo.
It stays on this screen for 5-10 seconds and then continues to black or the splash screen.

Can someone convey to me the source of this issue and what I can do to fix it? I'm just wondering what should I move and what could I leave and expect to see there once I update. No, no need this is only an update it does not touch files you installed or saved to doc's from any word program! Having a system 5 years old I don't think your system can handle sp3...
