Yet, today my work pc got updated to 43.0.2, and this one doesn't.I tried a solution I found online (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1070999 ), but it doesn't work. Anyone else has this problem or know how to fix it? I picked this because I knew it is designed to manipulate text in the address bar. When the add-on is disabled, the address bar works normally. I have sent an e-mail to Instant Fox with this information.I advised to whitelist domains mentioned in article https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Setting_up_an_update_server (aus2.and download.mozilla.org), but seems it did not help.Firefox update still failed with "Update failed" message. Please, I have already tried manually updating to the latest firefox a few weeks ago: I am now running version 42 here.

The only way around the issue was to download and install the latest stable version of the Firefox web browser manually on Windows. Mozilla plans to push a hotfix add-on to previous stable versions of Firefox on Windows that determines whether Websense is installed on the system.

If it is not, updates will be enabled and Firefox 48.0.2 will be installed on the user system.

I would not like to completely remove FF in order not to loose my add-ons, could you please guide me to reinstate normal auto-update feature? Roaming through the options I found this one: app.override which sounded immediately good.
