John waite dating

Everyone was so tired…the crew especially, [since they] had been there since early morning. I enjoyed working with him and as I also mentioned earlier, I loved watching him perform his song. Did the video ever affect your dating life in any way (i.e. I have received fan mail, but I don’t think it was from the “Missing You” video. Did the video generate any controversy that you know of? On that same trip home, I was at a bar with a friend and they were playing the “Missing You” video. We all just wanted to wrap for the day, but we had to finish shooting the scene. As I mentioned earlier, I did not know who he was so I did not have any expectations. when you first told boyfriends you were the woman in it)? I didn’t really tell people unless they asked if they would have seen me in anything [after] I told them I was an actress/singer. My friend told the bartender that I was the girl in the music video and he didn’t believe it at first. The premise of the video was an audition for his music video. Again, I appear in spanning shots, so my face time is brief. I have warned my girls to be careful what they post online because you never know who may see it.

For others, it’s an all-encompassing 24-7 commitment to the life altering power of rock and roll. The one common thread at the heart of his storied musical journey resides in two words: passion and authenticity. The band was successful in certain parts of the globe (particularly here in the US where their singles were staples on AOR radio stations) and became known as a solid, reliable, hardworking live act.At the dawn of the 1980s, the band disbanded after opening the floodgates for so many bands who toyed (and then ran) with the hard rock/pop blend the Babys perfected.I have to say I’ve never gotten tired of singing it. And the thing about Harlan’s work was, it was seamless. But it was sweet to read the way the characters in Harlan’s book quote the lyrics. Without giving away too much away, how does the song factor into the Coben novel’s plot? When I finished one chapter and another chapter started, you are still involved in the plot. Was the song inspired by a real person or real events? It was about distance, and it was part Jimmy Webb —I was thinking “Wichita Lineman”— and part a song by Free called “Catch a Train.” Those are the two songs I used to channel the lyric. How old were you when you appeared in the “Missing You” video? I was really excited since this was my first main role on video. I remember hanging around after I was finished shooting to watch them shoot John Waite perform the song in a nightclub. Kort [Kort Falkenberg III], the director, was wonderful to work with as [was] everyone else involved with the production, from hair and makeup, costuming, and the crew. There is a dinner scene where we are breaking up and I am supposed to be crying. I loved that song and still do every time I hear it. I don’t really remember what my parents thought of it. Did you watch the MTV World Premiere of the video, and if so, where and how did that feel? I probably watched it with the director and the producer, but I don’t really remember. I told her I was the girl in the video and she thought I was John Waite’s girlfriend in real life. That actually happened more than once where people thought I was his real-life girlfriend.

I think prior to that I had performed in stage shows, but not sure of when I started getting TV and movie roles.? Do you remember what your reaction was when you were cast? I was told he was in a group called Babys and this was his first [release] as a solo artist. It was filmed in downtown Los Angeles, if I remember correctly. I think I came back for a second day, but my shoot on the second day did not take that long. John was very nice to me and I felt comfortable working with him. I remember my friends telling me that they were waking up to me and going to sleep watching me. I asked her if she had seen the “Missing You” music video and she had.

John Waite: You know, if you write one of those in your life, you really left something worthwhile. I actually don’t think it’s the best thing I’ve done.

But it’s reached the most people and reading Harlan [Coben]’s book [] brings home what it still means to people. Most good writers, they have a jarring way of moving the plot, the characters and the situations.

He’s still vital, still hungry and still has something to say. Check out exhibit A: Waite’s wonderful new CD, All Access Live, which finds the gifted singer/songwriter and his smokin’ three-piece band delivering an electrifying eight song set of balls out rockers–The Babys’ .

Rock Cellar Magazine spoke with Waite for a wide-ranging conversation touching on everything: his new solo album, his thoughts on a Babys reunion, jamming with his musical heroes Pete Townshend of The Who and Steve Marriott of Small Faces and Humble Pie to the real inspiration behind his number one solo smash, what’s the ultimate live album for you?

Well, people are going missing, let’s put it like that. And the first section and chorus all came in one take.
