Wallpaper not updating
A package of icons contains icons to replace most of the common icons on your Windows PC.
Installing Bing Desktop is very easy and once installed it will automatically update your background when launched.I'm not sure what I changed, but this started working.I have been altering the NVIDIA settings, so that may have something to do with it.It supports playing video as animated wallpaper, dynamically generated content as animated wallpaper, and more.Icon Packager is a program that allows users to change nearly all of their Windows icons at once by applying "packages" of icons.You can specify a folder of images for it to scroll through but there doesn’t seem to be a way to tell it to set the image to whatever is featured on Bing.
This is an obvious feature that would have been nice to have baked into Windows 8.
Setting the Desktop Wallpaper Background with Group Policy is a fairly common request from administration or management.
Unfortunately, the actual setup is not as straightforward as you would think.
I work in education – most education organizations (at least K-12) tend to restrict this kind change. Those three students now have this custom (and locked) background set for them: Setting the Desktop Wallpaper Background with Group Policy Preferences Deploying a custom desktop wallpaper with Group policy is really easy with Group Policy Preferences.
Unrelated to this article, there tends to be an (overblown) fear that students will set their background to something inappropriate. Microsoft stores the wallpaper location in the registry and in clear text.
Anyway, it's working as expected now without having to restart gala.
