No nightmare can be worse than to know your private moments are being captured on webcam secretly and streamed to thousands of users online.A Houston, Texas, mother called it her “worst nightmare” when she recently found that a webcam that was kept in her two daughters’ bedroom was hacked and streaming everything live online for others to watch.
Ivies said she immediately created the Facebook post and shared it on news outlets’ pages, in mom groups, and in comment sections.A Houston mother made a terrifying discovery after she learned that someone had hacked into a webcam in her daughters' bedroom and had been streaming everything online.Jennifer says the hackers didn't get through with a weak password but through one of her daughter's favorite video games.Chapter 1 After school, everyone would meet their friends to talk about what they were doing, or where they were going immediately after school. It was kind of strange that Todd would even want to speak to Steve. When the two of them were in grade school they were inseparable.Steve had just turned eighteen and about to graduate. Todd only lived six doors down the street from Steve. Not only that, he was pretty much a popular kid at school. The two of them were at each other's house all through elementary school. "I need to talk to you in private," Todd said to Steve while looking at Alan.
They grew up with playing video games, or in the yard, and even trips to the park with each other's family. Steve reassured him, "it's okay," as he nodded toward Alan.
The image was shared more than 4,000 times, she said.
Jennifer said that she contacted Ivies to find out where the live stream could be found.“It had been running since July 27, maybe even longer,” she said.
Ivie said she immediately reached out on Facebook to mothers' groups in the area and the post started to share rapidly.
Within hours, the post had reached Jennifer's friend who got in touch with her. When Jennifer became aware of the hack, she consulted a security company. She ended up looking up on You Tube "servers to play Minecraft" and she ended up giving a name," Jennifer said.
But once middle school came, the two of them started to hang out with different groups of friends. "No, really," Todd continued with his strange behavior, "I need to talk to you in private." Steve nodded for Todd to follow him over by the wall.
